Lots of newness!

I've been making lots of wedding items, which il share with you another day, but today I had a play with some new papers and stamps.

This little chap is a house mouse stamp coloured with spectrum noir pencils, and I love the way it turned out.  I inked around the edges with blue ink to match the rain drops.  The papers are from my stash, the buttons are gorjuss girls, I used docrafts die cutters and the sentiment is from crafters asylum.
And finally my foxy card and envelope.
The papers are called a fox tale, and I don't know who makes them, but I picked them up in the range for £2.99, a bargain for 12x12 paper set.  The buttons and orange gem are from docrafts owl folk range, and the sentiment from hobbycraft.  I finished it off by creating a matching envelope, which seals with a ribbon at the back.

Thanks for looking , tam x

Magical dreams

I was very lucky to be a guest designer for crafting with dragonflies this week, so I made this card for there 'magical' theme.

To create this card I decided to use this gorgeous stamp from the gorjuss girl range, it's called the runaway, and reminds me of a unicorn. I coloured her in with promarkers, and inked around the edge with blue ink.  I added some embossed stars, and some letters and bobs your uncle lol!  I also decided to make an envelope too, as she is a pretty big card.  All the products I used are either from my stash or from docrafts.
I hope lots of you will play along with the challenge on crafting with dragonflies, (find the link on the right hand side of my blog!) it is a beautiful beautiful theme, have lots of crafting fun, and thanks for stopping by, tam xx

My first commission card

Well, I was shocked the other day to asked to make a card by someone, after spinning around in circles and jumping up and down in front of my hubbie (normal day to day behaviour for me!) I make a start and thinking about what I was going to make.  Now the biggest problem I had was that I don't have any 'baby' themed stamps drat! So I tottled off to Hobbycraft to see what I could find, I was quiet happy with the bits and pieces I discovered! Here is the card and envelope box I made! Yes an envelope box I love them!

I so hope my friend will be pleased, fingers and toes crossed!
I used baby embellishments- hobbycraft
Bazzils card
Cricut
X cut die cutters
Docrafts lace and ribbons
Rose and eyelet from my stash
Crafters companion envelope box maker

I had so much fun with this card, and really enjoyed customising the envelope to match, I really feel it adds to the card.

Oh she's a gorjuss girl!

Locked myself away today, in my conservatory, to settle down and work on a birthday card for my friends birthday at the end of the week.  I decided to use one of my gorjuss girls stamps an colour her in with my promarkers.  Again, I still enjoy making shaped cards so thought I would do another lol.  The majority of the products are docrafts, but the leaf is cut out from a new thinlet I bought which is part of craft asylum range, it cut amazing! And I love it!

I have decided to enter this card into
crafty catz challenge - there theme is flowers.
Lil patch of crafty friends-anything goes
Crafting with dragonflies-flowers
Could I just say to all the people looking after these challenges, if I haven't done this right, which I'm sure I haven't I am really really sorry, I have gotten myself into such a pickle with the linking thing, I don't know if I've linked my whole blog or my page, and have just spent over an hour trying to add my card and getting really confused by it all.  I am trying to do this on my iPad, but I am wondering if it might be easier via the computer.  Please do let me know how I can everything you are asking. :-)

The link to the pages can be found on the top right hand side, as I haven't learnt to link directly from my entry yet!

Stampin up fun!

Well I've been on holiday for 2 weeks, and during that time I got the opportunity to go along to a 'stampin up' get together and have a try of their products! I have to say I was pretty impressed by there inks (and the fab colours!) the stamps were also good, the image looked clean and the detail was precise-something I look for in stamps. I ended up buying the min petal punch and stamp set bundle as I couldn't resist! Here's what I made on the day!

I love the detail on these flowers, and the colour of that ink!

And here is what I made at home once my new stuff arrived! It took less than a week which was super!

You can't see it in the picture, but I punch the flowers out and raised the paper. I used dove craft sweet parties papers, santoro gorjuss girl ribbon, doc rafts backing paper, and gems, and sentiments from my hobbycraft pack. Very very pleased with my new purchase, and I feel a review coming on!

Sunflower fun!

Well, my new card was inspired by the docraft challenge, which was a picture of a sunflower, I made another shaped card because I'm not fed up with them yet lol.
I used a tilda and Edwin image, which I coloured with my new spectrum noir pencils, which I can't quite decide if I like or not yet, I feel I have lots to learn.
I used docraft die cut flowers, and then used holographic embossing powder in the centre to make to look a little like seeds. The paper is bellisma, and the lace was purchased from the works.
And finally, I thought I would share some pictures from amazing Cornwall, we visited St.ives over the weekend in the lovely sunshine :-)

Completely gorgeous I am so lucky to live here xx

Something new, something blue!

Blue isn't a colour I use very often, and I don't know why, as I love the blue palette, but after buying some new blue inks I decided to put them to good use.

Another shaped card, as I fallen in love with this style. I used papermania docrafts products- simply floral paper, bellisma die cuts, embossing folder and the textured cardstock I reviewed in my previous post.  Finished it off with some gemstones, ribbon, crochet lace, and a tiny bit of glitter on the butterfly's wings and edge of ribbon. Hopefully the birthday girl will be pleased at the end of the week.  Thanks for visiting again, tam
